Our, over 130 year old, history
The company was founded in 1875. Originally, a big range of components were made. The year after the founding of SKF, in 1908, SKF bought their first grinding machine which later led to the merging of the two companies, in 1929.
The production changed gradually and focused on more accurate processing. In the year 2000, LMV joined the KMT-group (Karolin Machine Tool AB), which markets, develops and manufactured advanced production machines and system solutions for mechanical engineering.
